Job Title: Life Insurance Trainer
Description

The FirstRand STI (OUTsurance) Learning Academy seeks to appoint a qualified and experienced trainer to train FRSTIA employees on Life Insurance. The function’s primary purpose will be to address the technical and product training needs.

A solid understanding of Life Insurance together with excellent facilitation and interpersonal skills is essential. Assessor and Moderator Scope in Life Insurance will be beneficial.
The successful candidate will be expected to successfully complete their Portfolio’s of Evidence and attain competence in the Train the Trainer, Assessor, and Moderator Programs, if they do not already possess said qualifications. .
Responsibilities:
To take full accountability for all aspects of technical systems and product training at all levels including responsibility for:
·         Training need analysis and identification
·         Program design and development
·         Technical and product training and facilitation
·         Course evaluation
·         Training administration and records
·         Alignment of training material to relevant unit standards
·         Relationship building with the management team
Qualifications:
  • Matric
  • A qualification in Wealth Management or Risk Management, at NQF 5
  • Must be an INSETA Registered Assessor with the scope to assess either the Retail Insurance on a NQF 4 qualification
  • Must be an INSETA Registered Moderator with the scope to moderate either Retail Insurance on a NQF 4 qualification
Experience:
  • Candidate must have worked in the Life Insurance field for a minimum of 6 months
  • Preference will be given to candidates that have worked in the Life Insurance field and in the Learning and Development section within that field
  • Understanding of the relevant systems and processes will be beneficial
